Use these guidelines if your rod has a published Grain Window or Range. Please note the Grain Window is generally used by rod makers as a guide for the weight of the 'head', not the 'head PLUS tip'. To get the right set-up follow this guide;
No hard and fast rules here, go up a weight or two if you like more feel between your fingers.

Choose your Commando Head at the lower end of your rods grain window. For example, if it says '330-390 grains' start with the 350 grain Commando Head.
